I minored in Women’s and Gender studies in college and am very educated when it comes to women’s reproductive rights. My boyfriend and I got pregnant while on birth control. I was completely shocked and never thought that this would happen to me. I know that I am not ready to be a parent yet and have always taken the necessary precautions to have safe sex. I knew that I was going to abort my pregnancy because it is MY choice. I was really nervous to have the procedure and it was painful, but I know I made the right decision for ME. I did feel guilty afterwards and there were a lot of emotions that I wasn’t expecting to have to deal with but I do not regret my decision and never questioned that it is a woman’s right to decide what to do with her body. If anyone out there needs help, just do what feels right to you. It is your choice.
