My first pregnancy was an accident (do NOT trust “Fertility Awareness” methods!!), but at the time I was pro-life so I kept it, even though I ended up with deep depression and life-threatening illness. That pregnancy (and birth) turned me completely pro-choice, because there was no way I could conscientiously force something like that on someone else. So the next time I accidentally got pregnant (while using condoms AND on birth control), there was absolutely NO doubt in my mind, and I had an abortion. It was nothing like the scare tactics the birthers spread, and I’m so glad I did it.
