The Supreme Court decision to block Louisiana’s law that would place onerous restrictions on abortion clinics is welcome news in a time of toxic rhetoric and calls for draconian restrictions on abortion care. The Louisiana law is similar to the Texas law the court already ruled against, that created an undue burden on people seeking abortion care. We need to keep working to expand abortion access, not threaten it. Young people won’t stand for these unnecessary restrictions with no basis in health care.
