During Pride, a Call for Solidarity and Liberation

This piece was co-written by Ana Hernandez, Moira Tan, Namaka Auwae-Dekker, and Kinjo Kiema for the Black and Pink newsletter. The Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Justice Leadership Council (YWOC4RJLC) is a group of 14-24 year old young womxn of color organizers who are working to educate, empower, and fight back against issues impacting their community through a reproductive justice lens. Black and Pink is a nonprofit which works to liberate LGBTQIA2S+ people/people living with HIV/AIDS who are affected by the criminal punishment system, through advocacy, support, and organizing.

State-Sponsored Violence Must End

Advocates for Youth joins protestors and young people in calling for an end to police and state-sponsored violence. The systems that put Black lives at risk must be dismantled. Young people have the right to lead healthy lives, and that includes living free of the fear of being killed by their own government.
