We thought it was an ulcer. Looking back now, it seems silly, but accidental pregnancy is something all women believe will never happen to them.

I was already a single mom trying to raise a 9 month old daughter by myself. I slipped up and had unprotected sex with my daughter's father.

Following an uncomfortable holiday season and days of working early mornings with abrupt waves of nausea, I discovered I was pregnant, for the first time, at the age of 20.

I found out in a Tim Horton's bathroom - I decided the five minute drive home was too long to wait. Immediately, I had mixed feelings.

I was 20 years old. I had been in a relationship with this guy for 3 years. I thought we were going to be together forever, but right after our anniversary, everything went downhill.

I was 21, unemployed and preparing myself to enter university. I had a surgery to pull 4 wisdom teeth, and the antibiotics I had to take reacted with my birth control pills, making them less efective.
