Why do you fight for sex ed? Karina
In honor of #SexEdforAll month, we asked young people: Why do you fight for sex education?
Here’s what Karina, Young Womxn of Color for Reproductive Justice Leadership Council, had to say:
“I fight for sex education for all because I want the next generation to be educated on an important topic that is taken for granted. Growing up in a time when saying the word “Sex” means to be quiet and not talk about it, I had to educate myself. Sex and sexuality should be a topic children are comfortable talking with their parents. I want my children to be educated about their sexuality and why sex is important. Children need to be nourished with knowledge about the impact of sex has in our lives.”
