Kamilah Tisdale (she/her) focuses on federal and state policy at Advocates for Youth. Her portfolio includes LGBT Health and Rights, and HIV policy. She works with our youth activists to support legislation and policies that create a more inclusive and equitable society. Her goal is to make sure young people have a voice in all policy changes that affect them. A native of Connecticut, Kamilah attended Brown University where she studied Latin American Studies. Prior to working at Advocates for Youth, Kamilah worked as Coordinator of the Adolescent Center at the Fair Haven Community Health Center in New Haven, CT. She subsequently worked for Congressman Jim Himes in Connecticut and Washington, DC.
