Advocates for Youth strongly condemns Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk’s ruling striking down the confidentiality provisions for minors seeking birth control at Title X clinics in Texas. This ruling is misguided and another attack on reproductive health and rights in this country from an anti-reproductive-health movement emboldened by the Dobbs decision.
“We applaud the FDA’s decision to make mifepristone accessible in pharmacies,” said Diana Rhodes, Vice President for Policy, Partnership, and Organizing at Advocates for Youth. “Young people are committed to building access to abortion, and ensuring medication abortion is easily available is a huge part of that."
Advocates applauds Congress and the Biden administration for the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, which would codify marriage equality in the United States, ensuring LGBTQ+ people are equally protected in their pursuit for marriage as they build their futures and families.

The consequences of this law will be severe. We are concerned for the young people who partner with us to end HIV criminalization in Pennsylvania - many of whom exist at the intersections of being Black, Indigneous and People of Color, queer and trans people, and people living with HIV.
