I became a mother on my own terms. Having an abortion was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I don’t regret my decision, I remember this day because as I walked into Planned Parenthood, I knew I was among women that understood I was not ready to be a mom.

I knew if I had the baby, I didn’t want to be a single mom.

I would have done anything to save those babies, but I didn't want to risk my life for a baby that had no chance of being born healthy.

The person I was then, and the things that I was struggling with, I could not have been a mother.

I got pregnant in my early 40s. I wasn’t willing to go through a pregnancy and have another child.
