Dr. Enow Awah Georges Stevens, MD (he/him/his) has over ten years of experience in program design and implementation on sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (SRMNCAH). Based in Cameroon, Enow manages Advocates’ AMAZE International work in sub-Saharan Africa. In this capacity, he cultivates organic and strategic
partnerships at regional and local levels, providing technical support to partner organizations on youth sexual and reproductive health programming with a focus on sexuality education, use, adaptation, and dissemination of AMAZE digital resources, and meaningful youth engagement.
Prior to joining Advocates, Enow served as a physician in obstetrics and gynecology, managed youth sexual and reproductive health programmes, and provided technical support on sexuality education, family planning, reproductive health, HIV prevention, quality of care, learning resource package development and transfer of learning in emergency and post-conflict settings
in Sub-Saharan Africa. Enow led the youth and comprehensive sexuality education work in the Africa region at IPPF where he provided strategic and technical guidance to IPPF programmes in comprehensive sexuality education and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights design and management.
Enow is a Board Member at COREGroup, ShareNet International and CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality. He has received ‘Certificate of Honor’ in Community Medicine, an Associate Royal Commonwealth Fellow and Youth engagement consultant. Enow holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD), Post Grad Diploma in Project Management, Community Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health as well as Organizational Leadership. He is fluent in English and French and has working knowledge of Swahili, Spanish and Arabic.
