The first step in effective action is to educate and protect yourself. The information below can help you make this happen. The next step is to educate your peers.

  • Body Image
    Learn the facts behind the prevailing myths on bodies and size. This section of the Web site includes information and resources on body image, size acceptance, and eating disorders.
  • Contraceptives: What Are Your Choices?
    Many young people don't know that there are several ways to protect yourself and your partner from pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV. This section will give you information about several different kinds of contraceptives available in the United States.
  • Dating Violence
    Dating violence occurs frequently in relationships. It's important to remember that if you are being abused you are not alone. Look through this section of the Web site for information and hotlines and resources on dating violence.
  • Emergency Contraception
    Emergency contraception (EC), also known as the morning after pill, is a safe and effective birth control method you can use after unprotected sex.
  • Healthy Relationships
    Whether it is with your friends, family, significant other, partner, acquaintances, or anyone else, it is important to know how to have healthy relationships with the people in your life. Healthy relationships increase your self-esteem, improve mental and emotional health, and help you have a fuller life.
  • Hepatitis
    Information on Hepatitis A, B, and C.
  • HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus)
    Information about HIV prevention, transmission, and testing.
  • Local Clinics and Hotlines
    Links and contact information for local clinics and hotlines related to issues such as emergency contraception, abortion, HIV/AIDS, STIs, suicide and crisis, substance abuse, domestic violence and child abuse, and sexual orientation.
  • Informational Pamphlets
    Written by and for young people, these practical pamphlets give tips on various topics relevant to your life.
  • Safer Sex
    Information about how and why to have safer sex.
  • Sexual Assault
    Sexual assault is a serious concern among youth. This section of the Web site includes articles and stories on sexual assault as well as links to sexual assault hotlines and resources.
  • STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)
    Know how to identify sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and learn how to prevent them.
